SWLOR uses a custom quest system backed by the server. Progress is stored on your character; many arcs mix talking to NPCs, killing specific enemies, visiting triggers or placeables, and turning in items.
Opening the standard Neverwinter Nights Journal panel (same keybind as vanilla) opens SWLOR’s Quests window instead. There you can:
Most quests start by speaking with an NPC and choosing dialog options. Progress usually advances when:
Guild crafting quests are offered by guildmasters; details and reward tables are also summarized on the Engineering, Fabrication, Smithery, Agriculture, and Hunters guild pages.
Some steps spawn or open a temporary container tied to the quest. Place only the requested items inside; wrong items are returned with a message. When the required quantities are met, the script may force a follow-up conversation with the quest NPC. If you need to cancel, move away from the container (it is cleaned up when closed). While that container flow is active, you are marked busy for quest handling.
Craft and gathering guilds use quests for orders and deliveries. At the guildmaster, use Give Report when you have completed the requested craft or acquisition; credit rewards scale with Social and (for guild quests) Guild Relations perks as described on the guild pages.
Quests can require other quests, key items, or guild rank. Repeatable or rotating guild tasks may refresh when the server reloads guild task data; if a task disappears from the offer list but remains in your journal, treat it as expired and abandon or re-acquire as appropriate.
