These massive blades hit very hard and very reliably. While you have to trade a great deal of survivability to be effective with them, they yield the highest damage numbers (alongside Spears). Their most important trait, however, is a greater crit chance than other weapons. It even has some utility, with a weapon skill that can apply Stun! Standards will find some difficulty building around Might based weapons, but Heavy Vibroblades and Spears offer the best bang for buck for those who wish to risk it.
