What can Plant Surge do?
No Points: If you really concentrate, you can focus on a single plant or seed at a time and get faint impressions from them of what they need, their rough level of health, and you can gently nudge and encourage them to grow in a healthy manner or better recover from damage. This is a very slow and careful process, and without a greater degree of training you cannot achieve much more with this than being an attentive and conscientious gardener, at least on a consistent basis. Your ability to cause quick, rapid growth is very limited, typically to the degree of getting a seed to suddenly sprout.
1 Point: You've become something of a plant whisperer; plants in your care are generally quite healthy and well-tended and grow large and strong, better than they naturally would without guidance. With time and concentration, you can urge plants to grow at about twice the rate they normally would, and even influence them to grow in particular ways and patterns over time. You can also better sense from plantlife what it needs to grow well, and what form it will ideally take. You are not yet capable enough to create rapid bursts of controlled growth in any immediately useful way, but you can urge a growing sprout or sapling along enough to make visible changes.
2 Points: Your connection to greenery is remarkable, and through your knowledge and skill with the Force you can achieve impressive feats. At this level you can begin to truly exemplify the 'Surge' aspect of Plant Surge, bidding plantlife to rapidly burst forth to sizes and shapes that can aid you in a dire moment. You might entangle your opponents in vines, bar a pathway with thick roots, or summon large leaves or petals to catch you and break a fall. To do this, there must be existing plantlife in the area to command in the first place - you cannot spontaneously generate plantlife from nothing. Using this ability in this way can also only affect a limited area. Plants you grow, fast or slow, can achieve significantly greater size than normal but may die if the environment cannot sustain them.
3 Points: You are extremely in tune with flora, to the point that it can practically serve as your eyes and ears. You can cast your senses through the web of greenery with great proficiency, allowing you to detect movement and presences within a plant-rich area with surprising precision. On top of that, your ability to command sudden and forceful growth is even greater than before, and you can create both larger areas and more complex patterns with your Plant Surges.
