Betraying an NPC faction comes with a great deal of risk.
Firstly before betraying an NPC faction players MUST create a ticket and speak with the team before proceeding into the betrayal roleplay.
The intended traitor must have been in the faction for at least three IRL months before a betrayal arc will even be considered. This is to prevent PCs jumping from faction to faction.
Once ticketed and the betrayal is played out, the wronged NPC faction has perma rights on the traitor, meaning they can perma said PC should they catch them and best them in a PVP fight.
The Remnant faction however is unique in that betrayals are not allowed at all once you're a member of the Empire.
DMs can make exceptions to these traitor rulings if the betrayal plays out during an event and aligns with the story being portrayed.
Cybernetics beyond the scope of a regular limb with regular functionality made of a regular material must be ticketed and cleared with the DM Team prior. An instance of a multi-PC project to create a cybernetic that has a single additional gimmick (one additional functionality) may be considered, but is up to the DM team's discretion.
Organic limbs and replacement parts borne of science or magic are also extremely rare and limited to DM team discretion.
Beskar. It's not clearly better than other rare and resilient materials but it is a rare and resilient material. It does give Mandalorians SLIGHTLY easier access to a rare material for certain purposes on a small scale. But it has even-more restrictions than most. In lore Mandalorians kept the secrets of it within themselves for longer than the Republic survived. Crafting Beskar knowingly for non-Mandalorians is not permitted (to the point that consequences may limit ability to play PC), and sharing the secrets of Beskar will not succeed. The exact method of how this would work out depends on the case involved.
Beskar can only ever be crafted by PCs of the Mandalorian Clans NPC faction, the secrets of the beskar forge are theirs alone. Players who are not Mandalorians that RP crafting Beskar can expect to be spoken to and potentially lose said item involved. If you're unsure on such matters, create a ticket.
Cortosis and other materials that are either extremely potent or otherwise rare must first be requested via a ticket to the team, expect the majority of such cases to be denied unless the requesting player has put an EXTREME amount of roleplay dedicated to the prospect or it has otherwise been awarded for a heroic moment by the Staff.
Rare kyber crystals will always require a ticket first unless awarded for an event by a DM
If a player has a ship based engineering mastery of three or higher they can request unique mechanical ship plans related to their NPC faction. Should a PC leave the associated NPC faction they can no longer use said ship.
Remnants: Sith Fighter
Republic: Aurek
Mandalorian Clans: Basilisk
Upon the player receiving a custom weapon (Must be Chiro level in terms of stats only) Players can craft a research token. The research tokens can then be turned in to upgrade their weapon, provided the Staff approve, but the player provides the researched token (not the blueprint). It is then accepted. Do not give Staff the blueprint, you must actually craft the item. The process:
Research Blueprint
Craft the Item
Turn it in to a DM via Ticket.
The blueprint buffs are applied EXACTLY as they are on the token being turned in. They can not be changed.
We are implementing a limit of two custom staff-made weapons per character, this includes lightsabers and other faction specific weaponry. The reason for this change is to alleviate weapon requests upon the staff which have been steadily growing in recent times. Additionally it's to avoid PCs ending up with a dragons hoard of unique weaponry that are rarely used or otherwise gather dust in distant storage spaces.
In order to retire a character, all you need is for that character to be three months old at minimum and have 350sp. Activity is no longer a major factor. Our two retirement options remain as a mastery boost or an item, and you may request an introduction event if a QM or DM is available to run such a thing.
Should players become engaged in PVP (Player versus player) on a planet, requests for aid can not be sent to other players beyond that planet. Such as if PVP happens on Dathomir, only individuals on Dathomir at the start of the combat can get involved.
As you may have noticed with these rulings there is a common thread, that being tickets! To make a ticket all you need to do is hop onto the SWLOR discord and head to the ticket channel.
If you EVER have any issues of an OOC nature either with other players or with staff. Anything or anyone. Please make a ticket and discuss with us, we don't bite.
